FlyTop Police drone FlyNovex controls the sky over Sanremo Music Festival

The FlyNovex unmanned aerial vehicle is among the available devices within the Safety Plan that has been organized for the 67th edition of the Sanremo Music Festival, the annual competition of Italy, which is held from February 7th to 11th, 2017. So FlyNovex is an unmanned aircraft, especially built by Flytop in Italy.

FlyNovex will be used during the days of Sanremo Music Festival 2017, from February 7th to 11th, by the State Police, the Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza. Will be using this technological devices that will facilitate the control of the Ariston theater and its surroundings. Additionally, unmanned Flytop drone pilots during these days will be two women of the National Police, as pointed out by Police Chief Commissioner Francesca Roberto, Vibo Valentia police chief.

Also, FlyNovex is light, reliable and easy to use, both in manual mode and in automatic mode. This hexacopter was designed for applications that include the survey of territory, precision farming, the environmental monitoring and support for emergency situations, structural surveys and surveys on cultural heritage, the assistance during journalistic or film production activities.

Furthermore, FlyNovex is able to carry many different sensors such as cameras, camcorders, thermal cameras, hyper-spectral, multi-spectral or Lidar sensors. And there are several configurations of the FlyNovex: with or without emergency parachute and with the possibility to orient the sensor on two or three axes.

Thanks to the hum of an encrypted channel it is capable of transmitting images in HD streaming and is able to work even at night thanks to the presence of a thermal camera. This exacopter can be operated manually and in automatically mode and is able to stay in the air for a longer period of time than traditional drones, thanks to the integration of a very powerful battery able to assure a wide autonomy.
