AECOM, leading international company in architecture, engineering, design, transport, sustainability and international development is participating in the Rail Baltica Project ( http://www.railbaltica.org ) by developing detailed BIM strategy for Rail Baltica railway infrastructure which will integrate the Baltic states into the current European railway network.
The office of AECOM in Madrid has been chosen for this initiative that will link Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia and indirectly Finland thanks to its experience in BIM methodology (Building Information Management / Modelling). In this way, they want to take advantage of the benefits of a digital approach for the design, construction and operation of the infrastructure.
The experience of Spanish team in BIM Methodology will be present in the development of Strategy and Implementation BIM. The plans, processes and technologies will be detailed from the BIM´s point of view.
AECOM Spain team will analyse the needs and will detail the BIM delivery workflows and standardize the content of the information to create a “Common Data Environment“ and an useful BIM data-driven methodology for the life asset life cycle of Rail Baltica project infrastructures. As well, an Education and training plan in BIM will be developed for the Rail Baltica’s administration and for the local production chain.
“Our experts stand out for their international experience in management, implementation and development of environments and projects with BIM Methodology in the fields of engineering and architecture, particularly in railway projects”, Javier Muñiz, CEO of AECOM Spain.
